As the national governing body for bicycle racing in the United States, USA Cycling had the idea for a program called "The Search for Speed". It ‘s a talent identification program designed to introduce track sprint cycling to a wider, more diverse audience throughout Los Angeles and the Southern California basin. It provides young adults with a clear, dedicated pathway to the U.S. National Cycling Team and sport of track sprint cycling.
USA Cycling started developing a wireframe of materials that they needed for the indoor and outdoor displays and sought us out to create the branding and identity and inspiring visuals for these pieces. To attract new talent, we knew that the design had to have an elite and powerful look and feel.
After one year, more than 2,600 athletes have come to combine’s. Five of those athletes proved what it takes to go beyond initial testing and now spend up to 40 hours a week training in a national track sprint development program with dreams of qualifying for the 2028 LA Olympics.
